History of GEETA

The brief history of famous Hindu Holy Book, GEETA (गीता) (Full name Shreemadbhagwat Geeta (श्रीमदभगवत गीता) is:

The knowledge from Almighty to Bramah (ब्रम्हा).
Bramah (ब्रम्हा)preached to Vivswan  (विवस्वान).
Vivswan (विवस्वान) preached to Manu (मनु).
Manu (मनु)preached to Ekshvaku (इक्ष्वाकु)(Administrator of Earth).
Ekshvaku (इक्ष्वाकु)is the ancestor of Raghukul (रघुकुल)(In which family (कुल) Shree Ram Chandra was born.
The time of beginning of this holy knowledge starts from the beginning of 2nd period (युग) i.e. treta yug (त्रेता युग):
1. Satyug (सतयुग)
2. Treta yug (त्रेता युग) (Age of period 12,00,000 years)
3. Dwapar yug (द्वापर युग) (Age of period 8,00,000 years)
4. Kal yug(कल युग) (Age of period 4,32,000 years) 5,000 years have been passed.
This means Manu taught to his student (शिष्य) Ekshvaku the knowledge of Geeta about 20,05,000 years ago.
